XXII SUMMER MUSIC ACADEMY

ŻAGAŃ (Poland) 1-14 AUGUST 2009r.


The XXII  Zagan Summer Music Academy will offer a very high level of music courses, designed especially  for the participants preparing for the National and International Competitions.  The distinguished faculty will include:
Violin: Jadwiga Kaliszewska, Marcin Baranowski, Bartosz Bryła, Jan Stanienda, Iwona Wojciechowska; 
Viola: Jerzy Kosmala, Jan Paruzel, Janusz Pisarski. 
Cello:  Kazimierz Michalik, Andrzej Zieliński, Stanisław Firlej, Stanisław Pokorski, Paweł Głombik.

 Rules and Regulations  

1.    XXII Summer Music Academy in Zagan will start  August 01 and end August 14, 2009.
2.    Registration will be held on the afternoon of July 31, 2009, 
       in the main office located on ul. Pomorska 14 in Zagan.
3.    Food will not be provided before August 01, 2009
4.    The last meal will be provided on the afternoon of August 14
5.    Students are required to provide their arrival and departure dates on their application
6.   The application must be received by June 10 sent to the following address:

      Included must be a  proof of having paid a  non -refundable down payment 
      in the amount of  600 zł

7.   The tuition is  nonrefundable
8.    Payment for meals and housing will be collected during registration at the main office or  to the PKO bank account

9.    Students are guaranteed FIVE 45 minute lessons with their chosen professor and in addition it is possible to observe lessons of other professors.

10.  Fees

     a.    Cost of Meals (per day):           25zł  
     b.    Cost of Housing (per day)          
               1)    Villa Park:           30zł 
               2)    Piastowski :        30zł  
               3)    Student hostel:  20zl

             Note: Cost of food and housing for chaperons are the same as for students.

     c.    Cost of tuition for international students: 1500 zł.

11.       Housing and meal plans can be paid to the PKO bank  account with an annotation payment for housing and food 
12.        Students under the age of 16 must have a chaperone 
13.     Students at the course will have the opportunity to   work with accompanists, so it is mandatory for students to bring piano parts for the accompanists for all the pieces they plan to work on.               
14.   The course has a tradition of giving students an opportunity to perform at numerous concerts and recitals:

       - “Our Laureates” for winners of competitions in  2008/09
       - Daily concerts of students participating in the course
       - Concerts given by Professors and invited artists
       - Opportunity to play solo in local Churches
       - All performances are recorded by video camera and DVDs available to participants
       - Portions of performances are published on the Internet
       - All participants will receive a CD with the diploma
     

The Zagan Summer Academy is not responsible for accidents and theft.
It is recommended that students have medical insurance.
